Episode 8, titled Boredom, tells a story during a break in the training for the exchange event. Toudou and Zen'in Mai, second-year students from Kyoto Jujutsu High School, appear before Kugisaki and Fushiguro, challenging them to a fight. Toudou overwhelms Fushiguro with sheer physical strength. Meanwhile, Kugisaki, disgusted by Mai's words, provokes her in return...

Jujutsu Kaisen is based on the manga of the same name, serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump (Shueisha). It’s a dark fantasy where high school student Yuji Itadori steps into a world of curses after the seal of a powerful "Cursed Object" is broken. The series has surpassed 10 million copies in circulation.
