◆Breathing Styles and Sword Techniques

Tanjiro Kamado masters two main styles of Breathing Techniques in his battles.

● Water Breathing
The foundational style Tanjiro learned from his master, Sakonji Urokodaki. It is characterized by graceful and fluid swordsmanship that mimics the flow of water.

First Form: Water Surface Slash
A fundamental horizontal slash delivered with precision.

Second Form: Water Wheel
A spinning upward slash, utilizing the entire body’s rotation.

Third Form: Flowing Dance
A series of soft, flowing strikes while moving fluidly like a stream.

Fifth Form: Blessed Rain After the Drought
A merciful strike used to sever a demon’s neck painlessly, typically when they accept death.

Tenth Form: Constant Flux
A powerful and rapid spinning attack that increases in force and speed with each rotation.

Tanjiro also adapts and creates new forms during combat, demonstrating exceptional creativity and flexibility in battle.

● Hinokami Kagura (Dance of the Fire God)
Later revealed to be the origin of the Sun Breathing, this style is based on a ritual dance passed down from Tanjiro’s father. It is intense, fiery, and highly offensive, placing enormous strain on the user’s body.

Dance (Enbu)
A powerful slash that traces an arc of fire, both beautiful and deadly.

Flame Dance
A high-damage technique consisting of rapid successive strikes.

Raging Sun
A two-bladed strike that slashes simultaneously from both sides.

Fire Wheel
A blazing attack launched from the air like a burning wheel.

Solar Heat Haze
A blade slash imbued with explosive heat.

Beneficent Radiance (Kikionkō)
A decisive finishing move Tanjiro uses during the Swordsmith Village Arc.

When using this style, a flame-like mark appears on Tanjiro’s forehead, signifying a massive surge in power at the cost of extreme physical stress.

◆ Special Abilities and Physical Traits
Enhanced Sense of Smell
Tanjiro possesses a remarkable sense of smell, allowing him to detect the “Opening Thread”—a precise moment of weakness in the enemy’s movement.

Hard Head
His headbutts are notoriously powerful, capable of knocking out opponents in a single blow.

Forehead Mark (Demon Slayer Mark)
The scar on his forehead evolves during battles, symbolizing a leap in combat ability and synchronization with Sun Breathing.

Crimson Blade (Kakutō)
In extreme conditions, Tanjiro’s Nichirin Blade glows red, a transformation that halts a demon’s regenerative abilities.
