Satoru Shoji began his career at Clubit (now Broadmedia), which was part of the SoftBank Group at the time, where he was responsible for content acquisition for SVOD distribution of anime and dramas. He later joined the Japanese branch of Upper Deck, where he acquired licenses for anime IPs and was involved in the planning and development of trading card games. After joining the Oricon Group to work on smartphone game development and operations, he launched several projects. Currently, he serves as the producer of Japan Anime News.
