Preview images from Episode 1 of the anime Jujutsu Kaisen, which will air on MBS/TBS in the "Super Animeism" block starting October 2, have been released.

Jujutsu Kaisen Episode1 Synopsis

Episode 1, titled "Ryomen Sukuna," introduces high school student Yuji Itadori, who possesses extraordinary physical abilities. On the night of his grandfather's death, he encounters Megumi Fushiguro, a first-year student at the Jujutsu High School. Fushiguro has come to retrieve a "Cursed Object" that Itadori possesses, but it turns out that the seal on this "Cursed Object" had already been broken by Itadori's seniors. As a result, these seniors are attacked by monstrous curses drawn to the object. Itadori and Fushiguro rush to their aid.

Jujutsu Kaisen is based on the manga of the same name, currently serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump (Shueisha). The dark fantasy series follows Yuji Itadori, a high school student who becomes embroiled in the world of battles over curses after the seal on a powerful "Cursed Object" is broken. The series has surpassed 8.5 million copies in circulation as of the release of its 13th volume on October 2.
