Episode 40, titled "Thunderclap," shows Sukuna, now awakened, completely ignoring Jogo's advice and demonstrating overwhelming strength against the special-grade cursed spirit, Jogo.

Meanwhile, Fushiguro faces off against the rampaging Toji, unaware of who he truly is. Despite the overwhelming power of Toji, Fushiguro fights a desperate battle to hold his ground.

Jujutsu Kaisen is a dark fantasy anime based on the manga of the same name, which started serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump in March 2018. The story begins when a high school student, Yuji Itadori, becomes involved in a battle over curses after the seal of a powerful cursed object is broken.

The manga has surpassed 80 million copies in circulation. The TV anime aired from October 2020 to March 2021 and gained immense popularity. It was adapted into a theatrical anime in December 2021, and the second season has been airing since July 2023.
