Voice actor Atsumi Tanezaki will temporarily limit some of her activities due to health concerns, her agency announced on July 1.

According to a statement released on the agency’s official website, “Atsumi Tanezaki, who has been under the guidance of her attending physician since last year, will be placing priority on her recovery due to her current health condition. As such, we have decided to limit some of her activities for the time being.”

The agency apologized for the concern caused, stating, “We sincerely apologize for the worry and inconvenience this may cause to her fans and all those involved. We will make every effort toward her speedy recovery and kindly ask for your understanding.”

Tanezaki also shared an update on her personal X (formerly Twitter) account: “As my agency announced, I’ll be focusing on recovering my health while limiting some of my activities for a while. I also plan to pause my X posts for the time being… though I may post something unexpectedly—sorry if that happens,” she wrote.

She added, “My work itself hasn’t changed, so some people might wonder if I’m really taking it easy (thank you for your concern—please don’t worry too much).”

“To continue cherishing the roles and works I’ve been fortunate to encounter, and to keep doing this job, however clumsily, I need to be in good health. So I will be taking proper care of myself! Osu!! As summer begins to show its true intensity, I hope everyone stays well and takes care too.”

Tanezaki is known for voicing Anya Forger in SPY×FAMILY, Frieren in Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, Chise Hatori in The Ancient Magus’ Bride, Dai in Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai, Moe Nishinosono in The Perfect Insider, Lisa Mishima in Terror in Resonance, and Shin from downtown in Yo-kai Watch: Forever Friends.

In May of last year, she also withdrew from the SPY×FAMILY ANIME EXTRA MISSION event due to health issues.
