What is the Anime Jujutsu Kaisen Where Takako Uro Appears?

Jujutsu Kaisen (呪術廻戦) is a dark fantasy series that began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump in March 2018. The story follows Yuji Itadori, a high schooler who enters a world of curses and sorcery after unsealing a powerful “Cursed Object.” The series concluded in September 2024.The Jujutsu Kaisen manga has surpassed 100 million copies in circulation.

The first TV season aired from October 2020 to March 2021, followed by the hit film Jujutsu Kaisen 0 in December 2021, which grossed 26.5 billion yen worldwide. The second season aired from July to December 2023, and the third season, Jujutsu Kaisen: Culling Game Part 1, will premiere in January 2026.

Takako Uro's Plofile

Takako Uro (JP: 烏鷺亨子) is one of the players participating in the Culling Game, with the Sendai Colony serving as her base of operations. She is a reincarnated sorcerer from the past and one of the four major contenders in the intense four way deadlock within the Sendai Colony. She has accumulated a total of 70 points.

Appearance and Personality

■Appearance
Uro is a tall woman with inverted eyes and a strikingly unconventional appearance. She is completely naked, adorned only with accessories such as piercings, a choker, and bracelets. The reason for her nudity has not been revealed. However, due to the effects of her technique, her body appears partially transparent, with certain areas such as her chest and lower body visually obscured by the background.

■Personality
She has a strong sense of pride and stands out among the four way conflict in Sendai Colony as the only participant who has not harmed civilians, which is reflected in her point total. Uro carries regret from her previous life and seeks to become someone significant in her second life, choosing to live solely for herself.

Background

In her previous life, Uro was a sorcerer during the Heian period. She served as the captain of the assassination unit known as the Sun Moon Star Squad, which operated directly under the Fujiwara clan, a powerful aristocratic family in Heian era Japan descended from Fujiwara no Kamatari.

Abilities

Takako Uro is a user of an innate technique that manipulates space. Her combat ability is considered to be on par with or even exceeding that of Yuta Okkotsu and Ryu Ishigori, indicating that she possesses strength equivalent to a Grade 1 sorcerer or even Special Grade.

■Cursed Technique
1. Space Manipulation Through Surface Recognition
Uro perceives space as a flat surface similar to a photograph, which she can grasp and manipulate like fabric. By pulling or bending this surface, she can freely control space. This technique allows for a wide range of applications, including flight, offense, defense, counterattacks, evasion, and stealth through transparency.

2. Thin Ice Breaker (JP: 宇守羅彈, Usurabi)
A technique that shatters the surface of space along with the target caught within it. This attack is powerful enough to damage Yuta Okkotsu and send him flying.

3. Domain Expansion
Uro activates her Domain Expansion by forming a hand sign with her arms crossed. She attempted to use it during a three way battle against Yuta Okkotsu and Ryu Ishigori. However, the technique failed to fully manifest due to interference from the offspring of Kurourushi, leaving its full details unknown.

Role in the Story

■Sendai Colony
During the stalemate in the Sendai Colony, Uro launched a surprise attack on Yuta Okkotsu, who had disrupted the balance by defeating Dhruv Lakdawalla and Kurourushi. However, she gradually became irritated during their exchange, which began with the disclosure of his technique.

As the conversation continued, Yuta questioned her ideology in her second life, stating that he could not relate to her mindset and asking why she would go so far solely for her own sake. These words, combined with her growing unease, led her to perceive the lineage of the Fujiwara clan in Yuta, triggering intense anger.

At that moment, Ryu Ishigori entered the battle, resulting in a fierce three way clash. The fight escalated as all participants unleashed their strongest techniques. However, Uro was ultimately defeated after being caught off guard following her Domain Expansion, suffering severe injuries. After her defeat, she transferred her points to Yuta.

Following the conclusion of the Shinjuku battle, several Culling Game players are shown returning to their daily lives. However, Uro does not appear, and since she was not confirmed to have been eliminated by Kenjaku or Sukuna, her current status remains unknown.

Trivia

・The Fuji clan mentioned in the story refers to the Fujiwara clan. Historically, they were political rivals of Sugawara no Michizane, who is considered an ancestor of Yuta Okkotsu. Although Yuta once believed himself to be a descendant of Sugawara based on Gojo Satoru’s statement in Volume 0, he appears to question Gojo’s claim rather than Uro’s assertion that he is connected to the Fujiwara lineage.

・Because Uro lived during the Heian period, she was familiar with Ryomen Sukuna in life. She described him as possessing an overwhelming sense of self.
