The "Gundam Conference SUMMER 2024" was held online on the 26th. It was announced that a life-sized Gundam statue will be exhibited at the "Mobile Suit Gundam" pavilion, named "GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE PAVILION," at the 2025 Japan World Expo (Osaka/Kansai Expo).

For the Osaka/Kansai Expo, the pavilion is set against the backdrop of "Another Universal Century," focusing on solving future societal issues and envisioning a future where Gundam and humanity coexist. The pavilion's name, "GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE PAVILION," reflects this vision. The exterior design of the pavilion is inspired by a futuristic space airport, representing a world where humanity has expanded its living space into outer space.

As Gundam celebrates its 45th anniversary next year, the franchise continues to explore new possibilities through various stories. The results of this exploration will be presented at the "GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE PAVILION" at the Osaka/Kansai Expo.

The Gundam to be exhibited will reuse materials from the life-sized moving Gundam "RX-78F00" that was displayed at "GUNDAM FACTORY YOKOHAMA," which attracted 1.75 million visitors. The statue will be posed on one knee with one arm raised. Construction of the pavilion is progressing as planned.
