To commemorate the 45th anniversary of the broadcast start of the anime "Mobile Suit Gundam" (1979), various projects are being launched, including the release of commemorative illustrations and the nationwide event "GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE -ROAD TO 2025-" to be held across all 47 prefectures.

Marking the 45th anniversary, illustrations reconstructing and newly drawing iconic scenes from the Gundam series will be released sequentially. The first installment features an illustration of the RX-78-2 Gundam from episode 24 "Assault! Triple Dom" of "Mobile Suit Gundam."

The commemorative logo, themed around the moon, features a layout with the new moon carried by Gundam, symbolizing the beginning of the Gundam series. More commemorative illustrations will be produced in the future. The event "GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE -ROAD TO 2025-" (free participation) will unfold across all 47 prefectures from June 2024. The event title encapsulates the desire to create the future of Gundam together with fans, aiming for 2025 when the Osaka-Kansai Expo is held.

The event will feature exhibits related to the Gundam series and products, such as a 1/12 scale Gundam statue in the 45th-anniversary commemorative color, and carry out sustainability activities like the "Gundam R (Recycle) Operation."

The 1/12 scale "RX-78-2 Gundam" statue (1.5m tall) in original colors commemorating the 45th anniversary, dubbed the "EARTH COLOR Ver.," is designed with earth-themed coloring and markings, embodying the hope to connect fans' sentiments on a global scale through "GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE -ROAD TO 2025-".
