The new PV for the second season of the TV anime "Rurouni Kenshin" (Ruroken), titled "Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Swordsman Romantic Story - Kyoto Arc," which will begin airing on Fuji TV in October, has been released. The visual for the additional character, Misao Makimachi, who is voiced by Aya Yamane, has also been unveiled.

Misao Makimachi is a bright and brave girl who is looking for the Oniwabanshu group, including Aoshi. She meets Kenshin on his way to Kyoto and decides to accompany him.

The new TV anime, which started airing in July 2023, has been restructured from the first episode using the latest animation technology. The original creator, Nobuhiro Watsuki, has fully supervised the character design, script, and all aspects of the production. This new TV anime adaptation is being released approximately 30 years after the original manga series began.

In the second season, the story follows the protagonist, Kenshin Himura, as his peaceful days at the Kamiya Dojo are disrupted, leading him to face the challenges posed by Shishio Makoto.
