'BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War - Part 3' Premieres in October; New PV Released Featuring "Senbonzakura Kageyoshi" and Other Bankai Scenes
The popular TV anime 'BLEACH' will enter its final chapter with the third cour of 'BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War' titled 'BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War - Part 3,' set to air on TV Tokyo starting in October. Alongside this announcement, the fourth promotional video (PV), the seventh key visual, and a special movie have been released. The animation will be produced by PIERROT FILMS, a new brand under Pierrot Co., Ltd.
The fourth PV opens with the Bankai lines of various characters, including Byakuya Kuchiki and Toshiro Hitsugaya, as well as Ichigo Kurosaki. The newly revealed scenes, set to the latest music, showcase overwhelming visuals of Bankai moments like "Senbonzakura Kageyoshi" and "Daiguren Hyorinmaru."
In addition, the PV features intense battle scenes between Ichigo Kurosaki and Yhwach, as well as glimpses of Uryu Ishida living as a Quincy and the Sternritter. The PV concludes with a signature BLEACH poem, heightening anticipation for the third cour.
A special movie with comments from Masakazu Morita, the voice of Ichigo Kurosaki, and Noriaki Sugiyama, the voice of Uryu Ishida, has also been released. Following the cast's expectations, visuals of Ichigo, Orihime, Chad, and Ganju are shown, leading into the fourth PV.
'BLEACH,' serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2001 to 2016, tells the story of Ichigo Kurosaki, who gains the powers of a Soul Reaper after meeting Rukia Kuchiki. The manga has sold over 130 million copies worldwide, been adapted into video games, and was made into a live-action film starring Sota Fukushi in 2018. The TV anime originally aired from 2004 to 2012.
The 'Thousand-Year Blood War' arc aims to cover the manga's final chapters, marking the anime's return after a decade, with the first cour airing from October to December 2022, and the second cour from July to September 2023.
