On June 9th, the 19th episode of the 21st series of the TV anime 'Precure', titled 'Wonderful Precure!', was broadcast on ABC TV and TV Asahi. In this episode, the character Mayu Nekoyashiki transforms into "Cure Lillian". Alongside her pet cat "Yuki", who transforms into the first-ever cat Precure "Cure Nyammy", the story

In episode 12, aired on April 21st, Cure Nyammy made her debut as the third Precure, generating buzz on social media with comments like "Too cute!", "Absolutely stunning", and "So cool!". In episode 17, aired on May 26th, it was revealed that Nyammy's true identity is the cat Yuki. The first broadcast of Nyammy's transformation scene captured attention with its cool and elegant transformation.

In episode 19, aired on June 9th, Mayu Nekoyashiki, the owner of Yuki, transforms into "Cure Lillian". From now on, along with Cure Wonderful, Cure Friendy, Cure Nyammy, and Cure Lillian, they will join forces with Satoru and Meemee to help the animals in Nico Garden.

'Wonderful Precure!' is themed around "animals" and focuses on the "bond with animals". The key phrase is "Everyone is friendly! Wonderful~!" and the story is set in Animal Town, depicting interactions beyond species.

Iroha, who loves animals and is close with her pet dog Komugi, encounters a mysterious creature named Garugaru causing havoc in the town one day. To protect Iroha, Komugi transforms into Precure in human form. The story revolves around their efforts to return animals with troubled hearts to Nico Garden.

-- How did you feel when you were chosen to play Precure?
I was so overwhelmed that time stopped, and I found myself crying uncontrollably... I remember trying hard to accept that the audition result was real, while feeling my heart pounding throughout my body. It was a joy to finally get to work on Precure, supported by my manager who believed in the Precure mindset within me for a long time. The excitement of being able to proudly work again with the creators from 'Healin' Good' and 'Delicious Party' Precure hit me all at once. In that moment, I felt pure happiness, letting go of any responsibility or tension.

-- What do you find appealing about the Precure series?
I remember being shocked when I first encountered Cure Black from 'Futari wa Precure' during my childhood when I preferred cool things over cute ones. It was a work that brought a new perspective to me, who disliked the idea of girls being fragile and needing protection. The series continues to express the blend of coolness and cuteness in various forms for 20 years. There's also a brilliance that makes me cry even during happy scenes… it's wonderful.

-- What is your impression and appeal of Cure Nyammy / Yuki Nekoyashiki?
Cure Nyammy is so strong, noble, and cute! Yet, as a cat, she gets mad when she dislikes a bath and hides under the bed when feeling unwell… it makes me melt! The dignified cuteness I felt when I first saw her character design couldn't have prepared me for her full-on cat moves. But that’s what makes it great.
A cool character that hates baths is rare… Yuki, who has a different sensibility from humans, will surely continue to show us many "I didn't see that coming!" moments. Let's enjoy watching together. Oh, I see… we are… watching over Yuki for a whole year through a camera...

-- How did you feel when you were chosen to play Precure?
I was very happy. My managers at the agency were also very pleased, and that made me even happier. I live with two cats, and I immediately told them, "It's thanks to you". During the audition, there were many lines that were easier to grasp if you had experience with cats, so I was filled with gratitude towards my cats.

-- What do you find appealing about the Precure series?
What I find particularly wonderful is the characters' independence and growth. You can only transform into Precure when you are in a mental state where you can stand on your own feet. It inspires and resonates with me, making me think, "I want to be Precure too!"

-- What is your impression and appeal of Cure Lillian / Mayu Nekoyashiki?
Being exceptionally kind, she is often hurt or loses confidence. Her unique growth, motivated by thinking of others, is appealing, and seeing her as an independent Cure Lillian was truly moving.
