BLUELOCK -EPISODE NAGI- Concludes After 3-Year Run – Final Volume 8 Releases on August 12

The official spin-off manga BLUELOCK -EPISODE NAGI- concluded with its final chapter in the August issue of Bessatsu Shonen Magazine, released on July 9. The series wraps up a three-year serialization that began in June 2022. The eighth and final volume of the manga will be released on August 12.

BLUELOCK is a soccer-themed manga currently serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine. It follows a bold national project initiated by Japan to cultivate the ultimate forward (FW) following a defeat in the World Cup. The initiative gathers 300 high school players—all forwards—in an intense competition where only one will emerge as Japan’s revolutionary striker, while the remaining 299 risk losing their football careers. The series has surpassed 40 million copies in circulation.

The anime adaptation aired its first season from October 2022 to March 2023, followed by the second season which aired from October to December 2024.

BLUELOCK -EPISODE NAGI- shifts the perspective to the prodigy Seishiro Nagi, offering a reimagined narrative of the “Blue Lock” program through his eyes. The spin-off manga has sold over 2 million copies and was adapted into a theatrical anime film in 2024.

The final chapter appears with a special cover and color center spread, showcasing Nagi, Reo, and the full cast of Blue Lock players in a fitting grand finale illustration.
