" Oshi no Ko," which started serialization in April 2020 in Shueisha's "Weekly Young Jump," is a story set in the entertainment industry. The protagonist, Gorou, who works as an obstetrician-gynecologist, meets his favorite idol, Ai Hoshino. After dying in an incident, Gorou is reincarnated as Ai's child. This marks the beginning of his journey into the entertainment world, the same path as Ai. The story vividly depicts the world of show business, featuring characters from various roles such as idols, actors, directors, and producers, gaining popularity for its realistic portrayal.

The manga is written by Aka Akasaka, known for the popular series "Kaguya-sama: Love Is War." It won first place in the Comics Division of the "Next Manga Awards 2021." The comic has sold over 3 million copies in total.

The main staff includes director Daisuke Hiramaki ("Selection Project"), series composer Jin Tanaka ("Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club"), and character designer Kana Hirayama ("Rent-A-Girlfriend"). The animation will be produced by Doga Kobo ("Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru").

Comment from Aka Akasaka
"I've been participating in the meetings, and I think we can bring some surprises to everyone. I believe it will turn out to be a great work, so I hope you'll look forward to it."

Comment from Mengo Yokoyari
