The extended version of the first episode of the first season of the TV anime "Oshi no Ko," titled "Oshi no Ko: Mother & Children," has been scheduled for a limited two-week revival screening across national theaters starting June 7. This will also mark the premiere of the Dolby Cinema version in ten theaters nationwide, alongside the release of the official trailer.

Additionally, a special event featuring a pre-screening of the first episode of the second season, along with a stage greeting by the cast, will be held on June 30. This event will also unveil new information about Season 2 and will be broadcast live to theaters nationwide. "Oshi no Ko," serialized in "Weekly Young Jump" by Shueisha since April 2020, revolves around the entertainment industry. The story begins with Goro, an obstetrician, who meets his favorite idol, Ai Hoshino, but following a certain event, Goro dies and is reincarnated as Ai's child. This leads him to follow her into the world of entertainment.

The original manga, written by Aka Akasaka known for the popular manga "Kaguya-sama: Love Is War," has won several awards, including first place in the comic category of the "Next Manga Award 2021." The series, which features a range of characters from idols and actors to directors and behind-the-scenes staff, realistically depicts the entertainment industry and gained popularity when the TV anime was broadcast from April to June 2023. Additionally, the opening theme "Idol" by YOASOBI topped the "Oricon Weekly Digital Single (Single Track) Rankings" and "Oricon Weekly Streaming Rankings" as of June 28, marking a historic achievement in Oricon history by exceeding 20 million plays for ten consecutive weeks, which also sparked a social phenomenon. Furthermore, a live-action adaptation is scheduled this winter, with a drama series to be exclusively streamed worldwide on Amazon Prime Video and a movie to be distributed in theaters by Toei.

The second season of the anime, set to broadcast from July, will focus on the "Tokyo Blade" arc of the 2.5D stage, featuring characters Aqua, Kana Arima, and Akane Kurokawa.
