This title marks Kaneko’s latest project since joining COLOPL in 2023. Known as the "Demon Artist" for his iconic work on the Shin Megami Tensei and Persona series at Atlus, Kaneko has brought his unique vision to this new genre-defying title: a “Card Creation Roguelike.”
A High-Rise Dungeon and AI-Generated Cards
Set in the futuristic high-rise tower THE HASHIRA, located in Tokyo’s bay area, Tsukuyomi: The Divine Hunter plunges players into a sealed-off skyscraper infested with monstrous beings known as "Divine Beasts" (JP:神魔, Shinma). As part of the national defense force Tsukuyomi, players must ascend the tower and defeat a powerful target on the top floor.
Gameplay revolves around strategic, turn-based card battles. Players will use a deck of cards drawn at random to launch attacks or defend against enemies. Each turn involves simultaneously planning offensive and defensive actions, creating fast-paced and dynamic combat.
A standout feature of the game is its original card generation system powered by "AI Kaneko" — a unique AI model trained by Kazuma Kaneko himself. This system crafts one-of-a-kind cards based on player behavior, creating a deeply personalized experience. As players make decisions during exploration — such as route choices and event outcomes — these logs influence the cards AI Kaneko creates.

A True Roguelike Experience with Ever-Changing Dungeons
Each playthrough offers new challenges. Dungeon layouts and available cards change every time, ensuring no two runs are alike. Defeat in battle results in the loss of all progress and collected cards, forcing players to restart from the beginning — a core element of roguelike design.
