The second season of the anime Azur Lane: Slow Ahead!, based on the popular mobile game Azur Lane, has officially been announced. The new season is titled Azur Lane: Slow Ahead!!, and a teaser visual, promotional video, official website, and full details on the staff and cast have all been revealed.

Originally launched in Japan in September 2017, Azur Lane is a smartphone game that anthropomorphizes naval warships into characters. The game inspired a TV anime adaptation in the winter of 2019 and has since collaborated across various industries. It continues to make waves both in-game and beyond, celebrating its 7th anniversary in September 2024.

Azur Lane: Slow Ahead! is a four-panel comedy spinoff series that explores the everyday life of ship girls at their naval base. The comic is serialized on Azur Lane’s official X account (formerly Twitter) and in Monthly Comic REX published by Ichijinsha.
