The fourth season of the TV anime Rent-A-Girlfriend (Kanojo, Okarishimasu) will begin airing in July 2025 as a split-cour broadcast. To celebrate, a teaser promotional video has been released, marking the first reveal of footage from the upcoming season. The PV includes a look at heroine Chizuru Mizuhara in a swimsuit, the characters visiting the tropical resort Hawaiians, and the appearance of the mischievous ex-girlfriend Mami Nanami—who knows the "truth" about Kazuya and Chizuru’s relationship. The teaser offers a preview of many key scenes to come.

The video opens with Chizuru asking Kazuya, “Do you like me?” As the upbeat background music kicks in, we see a series of lively and eye-catching cuts: Chizuru in a swimsuit, Mami calling out to Kazuya, Ruka dressed as a maid, Sumi in a nurse outfit, and Mini stopping Kazuya in his tracks. The “girlfriends” all take the spotlight.

In the second half of the teaser, the story shifts to a visit to Hawaiians, a resort destination the Kinoshita family frequently visits. Kazuya’s grandmother Kazu makes a remark that reveals the family’s tradition, confirming the trip as part of the storyline. Toward the end, Kazuya is heard making a bold declaration: “I’m going to confess to Mizuhara (Chizuru) on this trip!” The scene closes with Chizuru blushing at his heartfelt resolve.

Additionally, a new visual of Mami Nanami titled the “date visual” has been released. In this key visual, Mami is seen turning back on a station platform with a thoughtful gaze. She holds an umbrella with blooming hydrangeas in the background—evoking a seasonal, emotionally resonant scene. Her noticeably large shoulder bag hints at a “journey,” subtly referencing her role in the upcoming resort arc.

About Rent-A-Girlfriend

Based on the manga serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine (Kodansha) since July 2017, Rent-A-Girlfriend tells the story of hopeless college student Kazuya Kinoshita, who falls for rental girlfriend and stunning beauty Chizuru Mizuhara. Although Chizuru is a quiet girl from his university, her job must remain a secret. As Kazuya’s feelings grow, the two navigate misunderstandings, emotional entanglements, and the involvement of friends, family, and even exes in this “rental” romantic comedy.
