The production of the fourth season of the TV anime "Rent-A-Girlfriend" (KanoKari) has been confirmed, with an announcement that it will air in 2025. Alongside this announcement, a teaser visual and a special promotional video for the fourth season have been released.

The visual, drawn by the original creator Reiji Miyajima, features Kazuya and Chizuru holding hands and dressed in outfits related to the fourth season's storyline, with Chizuru making a "4" gesture with her hand. Surrounding them are characters who have colored the story, resulting in a lively visual. Additionally, a "Season 4 Production Decision Special Teaser" using the original illustrations has been released. The teaser vividly showcases Chizuru, Mami, and Ruka in swimsuits, with impressive lines and panels from the original manga unfolding one after another. The video reveals that the fourth season will focus on the Hawaiians Arc.

The teaser ends with the monologue text, "No... I can't... 'like' a customer..." leaving viewers even more curious about the evolving relationship between Chizuru and Kazuya. The series is based on the manga of the same name, serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine (Kodansha) since July 2017. It follows the story of Kazuya Kinoshita, a hopeless university student living in Tokyo, who falls in love with the stunning rental girlfriend Chizuru Mizuhara. Chizuru, who also attends the same university but appears plain, must keep her true identity a secret. The story depicts their evolving relationship as they deal with family, friends, and ex-girlfriends, in a "rental" romantic comedy.

The manga has surpassed 13 million copies in circulation. The anime's first season aired in 2020, the second in 2022, and the third in 2023. A live-action drama adaptation was also released in 2022.
