On April 21, Cygames, known for hit titles like Uma Musume Pretty Derby, announced a new partnership with Churchill Downs Racetrack, the iconic venue that hosts the Kentucky Derby. As part of the agreement, Cygames will serve as an official sponsor of the 151st Kentucky Derby, one of the most prestigious horse racing events in the United States.

Cygames to Host Named Race at the Kentucky Oaks

As a key component of the collaboration, Cygames will present the Unbridled Sidney Stakes Presented by Cygames, which will take place on May 2, 2025, during Kentucky Oaks Day—a major highlight of the Derby Week.

This Group III turf race is approximately 1,100 meters (5.5 furlongs) and is open to fillies and mares aged three and up, offering a total purse of $400,000. During the race, the Cygames logo will appear on the starting gate, saddle towels, and finish line signage, showcasing the company to a wide audience of racing fans and attendees.

About the Kentucky Derby and Derby Week

Held annually since 1875, the Kentucky Derby is the first leg of the American Triple Crown and is widely regarded as the most attended horse race in the U.S. It is often referred to as "The Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports" due to its electrifying pace and passionate following.

The event is the centerpiece of Derby Week, a week-long celebration that includes the Kentucky Oaks—the premier race for three-year-old fillies—as well as numerous other races and attractions.
