Episode 1, titled "To Defeat Muzan Kibutsuji," features Sanemi and Iguro heading towards an abandoned castle on a mountain for their mission. Meanwhile, Tanjiro is recovering from his injuries at the Butterfly Mansion. During this time, the Hashira gather at the Ubuyashiki Estate for a Hashira meeting. Muichiro explains the method of manifesting marks. The story progresses with the start of Hashira training to strengthen the entire Demon Slayer Corps. The released scene cut shows Tengen Uzui training the corps members.

The "Demon Slayer: Hashira Training Arc" covers episodes from volumes 15-16 of the original manga, focusing on Tanjiro and his comrades training under the highest-ranking swordsmen, the Hashira, to become stronger. "Demon Slayer," originally serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" from February 2016 to May 2020, has surpassed 150 million copies in circulation.

Set in the Taisho era, the story follows Tanjiro Kamado, a boy whose family was killed by demons. To turn his demon-transformed sister Nezuko back into a human and avenge his family, he joins the Demon Slayer Corps and embarks on a journey. The first season of the TV anime aired from April to September 2019, becoming a social phenomenon. The movie "Demon Slayer: Mugen Train," which continues from the final episode of the anime, was released in October 2020, grossing over 40 billion yen domestically. The second season, "Entertainment District Arc," aired from December 2021, followed by the third season, "Swordsmith Village Arc," which aired from April 2023.
