"Demon Slayer's" Tanjiro, Muichiro, and Mitsuri Grace the Cover of "anan" Magazine; Nezuko, Zenitsu, and Inosuke Featured in Extended Gravure
Tanjiro Kamado, Muichiro Tokito, and Mitsuri Kanroji from the anime "Demon Slayer" will grace the cover of the special edition issue 2397 of the gravure weekly magazine "anan" (Magazine House), coinciding with the airing of the new "Hashira Training Arc" starting on the 12th.
This marks the third collaboration between "anan" and "Demon Slayer," following the "Mugen Train Arc" (featuring Tanjiro and Flame Hashira, Kyojuro Rengoku) and the "Entertainment District Arc" (featuring Tanjiro and former Sound Hashira, Tengen Uzui). The latest cover showcases Tanjiro along with Muichiro Tokito, the Mist Hashira, and Mitsuri Kanroji, the Love Hashira, who both played pivotal roles in the "Swordsmith Village Arc." This is their first-ever three-shot, set against a background reminiscent of the beautiful gold and new green market pattern used during the "Mugen Train Arc."
Upon opening the magazine, readers are treated to a gatefold feature, a regular fixture in this series, displaying the cover stars along with familiar faces Nezuko, Zenitsu, and Inosuke, all sporting refreshing expressions. Corresponding with the storyline, Nezuko is shown without the bamboo in her mouth, and the reassembly of Zenitsu and Inosuke, who were on separate missions during the "Swordsmith Village" timeline, adds a poignant and heartwarming touch to the extended gravure feature.
This cover, along with previous covers and back covers for the "Mugen Train Arc" and "Swordsmith Village Arc," when displayed together, create a spectacular series of gold and silver screen-style paintings. These form a valuable original scroll exclusive to "anan" magazine covers.
In addition to the cover and gatefold, the eight-page feature article on the "Hashira Training Arc" inside includes interviews with the six cast members who portray the characters featured in the illustrations: Natsuki Hanae (Tanjiro), Akari Kito (Nezuko), Hiro Shimono (Zenitsu), Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Inosuke), Kengo Kawanishi (Muichiro), and Kana Hanazawa (Mitsuri).
