About Aharen-san wa Hakarenai
Originally serialized on Shonen Jump+ until 2023, the manga Aharen-san wa Hakarenai explores the humorous and heartwarming interactions between the petite and quiet Aharen Reina and her seatmate Raido. Their relationship is defined by an unpredictable sense of closeness—sometimes too far, sometimes too near—leading to a comical yet touching high school romance. The first season aired in 2022.
ACA-ne from ZUTOMAYO Shares Insights on the Theme Song
Regarding the opening theme, ACA-ne commented:
"I’ve always loved Aharen-san wa Hakarenai. While working on the song, I reread the manga several times. It was enjoyable to shape the sound around the idea of being unable to gauge interpersonal distance, which is something I think about often. ‘Binetsu-ma’ captures the longing and frustration that arise from such moments, along with some new musical experiments. Please look forward to it."
