My Hero Academia: Vigilantes Anime to Air in April with New PV and Cast Announcement

The official spin-off anime series My Hero Academia: Vigilantes is set to premiere on April 7. It will air every Monday at 11 PM on TOKYO MX and BS Nippon TV, and at 1:59 AM on Yomiuri TV. Alongside the announcement, a teaser visual, a new PV, and details about the main cast were revealed.

About My Hero Academia: Vigilantes

Based on the manga written by Hideyuki Furuhashi and illustrated by Betten Court, My Hero Academia: Vigilantes ran on the Shonen Jump+ app from 2017 to 2022, with 15 compiled volumes. This spin-off, officially connected to the main storyline of My Hero Academia, takes place several years before the original series.

The story focuses on the Vigilantes, unsung heroes operating outside the law, who risk their lives to help others despite lacking the recognition granted to official heroes.

Connection to My Hero Academia

The original My Hero Academia manga, created by Kohei Horikoshi, debuted in Weekly Shonen Jump in July 2014 and concluded in August 2024, with over 100 million copies sold worldwide. The main series revolves around Izuku Midoriya (Deku), an aspiring hero in a world where superhuman abilities, known as “Quirks,” are the norm. The anime adaptation began in 2016, and its seventh season concluded in October 2024, with an eighth season in production.
