The special edition marks the series' 15th anniversary with a Hori-and-Kashima-focused booklet, including a color gallery, selected past episodes, character-reference features, and newly drawn manga.

The Apothecary Diaries rises to No. 2 even as weekly sales fall

The Apothecary Diaries (Manga) Vol. 17 moves from No. 3 to No. 2 with 30,231 estimated copies. Its weekly sales are 41.1% lower than the previous week's 51,288, showing that a higher chart position does not necessarily mean higher unit sales. Estimated cumulative sales for this volume reached 336,427. Square Enix released Vol. 17 in Japan on July 24, 2026; the publisher describes it as concluding the fortress arc and covering the climax of the original novel's fourth volume.

The Top 10 contracts while Square Enix takes half the positions

The ten ranked titles sold an estimated 246,499 copies in total, compared with 394,044 across the previous week's Top 10, a decline of 37.4%. Square Enix accounted for five positions and 146,584 copies. Shueisha had three positions and 65,678 copies, while Kodansha had two positions and 34,237 copies. Among returning titles, One Piece Vol. 115 rose from No. 10 to No. 5 even as weekly sales slipped 7.8%, while Black Clover Vol. 38 fell from No. 2 to No. 7 as weekly sales declined 67.7%.
