The manga started serialization in "Weekly Shonen Sunday" in 1994, followed by the TV anime in 1996 and the theatrical anime in 1997, continuing to be a nationally popular series. The latest movie, "Detective Conan: The Million-dollar Pentagram," attracted 630,000 viewers and grossed $6,114,650 on its first day. With the latest milestone of surpassing 10 million viewers, distributor Toho expressed their delight, stating, "Even beyond Golden Week, the momentum of 'The Million-dollar Pentagram' has not diminished, and as we enter June, it continues to surpass the previous film, setting a new record of 10 million viewers for the first time in the series!"

"In mid-May, special screenings titled 'Shout Out Your Love! Million Dollar Cheering Screenings' were held, where attendees could voice their reactions, garnering positive responses on social media such as 'The unity in the venue was amazing,' 'I couldn’t help but laugh at the timely comments for each scene,' and 'Singing the theme song together at the end was moving.' The momentum has not slowed down even a month and a half after the release."

"Additionally, screenings with automatic control penlights and English subtitles were held, allowing a diverse audience to enjoy the film from various perspectives. We are also close to breaking the record of the '10 Million Dollar Night View' in Hakodate, as suggested by the title. We look forward to seeing how far this film can go!"

The story of the latest movie is set in Hakodate, where Heiji Hattori and Kaito Kid clash. Heiji, who keeps missing opportunities to confess his feelings to Kazuha, faces his nemesis Kid once again. In the past, during an incident involving the "Fairy’s Lip" pearl, Heiji almost kissed Kazuha, who was disguised as Kid.

Will Heiji, who becomes a clumsy detective when Kazuha is involved, repay his debt to Kid and finally confess to Kazuha in the latest movie? The story also features characters such as Momiji Ooka, Iori Muga, and Soshi Okita watching over Heiji and Kazuha.
