Episode 39 of the anime You and Idol Pretty Cure♪ (Kimi to Idol Pretty Cure♪, known as KimiPri) aired on November 9 on ABC TV and TV Asahi. The episode marked the first anime appearance of the five male Pretty Cures from the stage show Dancing☆Star Pretty Cure The Stage (BokuPri). In this episode, Uta and Kokoro’s group head to cheer for their senior, Odoru Sunda, who is participating in the “Dancing Star Cup.” However, Sunda is transformed into the monster Makkuranda, forcing the Idol Pretty Cures to fight. Overwhelmed by Makkuranda’s sharp dance moves, the team finds themselves cornered—until the Dancing☆Star Pretty Cure The Stage members suddenly appear: Cure Top, Cure Rock, Cure Soul, Cure Kagura, and Cure Break, along with their fairy partner Padodo.

The five introduce themselves one by one—“Let your heart beat to the rhythm of hope! Cure Top!”—and then together declare, “Resonate, five lights of rhythm! Dancing☆Star Pretty Cure!” They assist the Idol Pretty Cures in battle, turning the tide. Yet, rather than finishing the fight themselves, they step back, saying, “Interrupting a big competition doesn’t sit right with us,” and leave the final blow to the Idol Pretty Cures.
