The October 12 episode of the anime You and Idol Pretty Cure♪ will feature a groundbreaking story that ties directly into the real-world concert You and Idol Pretty Cure♪ LIVE2025 You&I＝We’re IDOL PRECURE, set to take place on October 18 at the Pacifico Yokohama National Convention Hall.

For the first time in the Precure franchise’s 21-year history, the anime will be linked to a live event happening in the real world. The singers of the opening theme (Ami Ishii, Akane Kumada, and Chihaya Yoshitake ) will appear in the anime as themselves.

Episode 36 takes place at Pacifico Yokohama, the same venue where the real live concert will be held. In the episode, the Cures perform on stage at this very location, creating a synchronized story that bridges the anime and the live experience—something only You and Idol Pretty Cure♪ could make possible.

Misato Matsuoka, who voices the main character Uta Sakura / Cure Idol, shared her excitement:

“When I first heard there would be an episode linked to a live concert, I thought, ‘That’s something new!’ I was thrilled that we could bring even more excitement to everyone watching. Seeing the Idol Cures preparing for their concert in the anime just like we are in real life made me feel so connected to them. And having the singers appear as themselves adds such a special touch!”

She continued,
“It gives me so much confidence knowing that we’ll be performing together with everyone. I want to take what the Idol Cures experience and feel in the anime and carry that energy with me on stage. Please look forward to both the anime and the live concert—I can’t wait to see you there!”

Ami Ishii, one of the featured singers, reflected on her first-ever voice recording experience:

“It was my first time doing voice acting, and I was so nervous that my hands were trembling as I held the script. But thanks to the support of Akane Kumada, Chihaya Yoshitake, and all the voice actors and staff, I was able to relax and be myself.”

Akane Kumada added,
“Since I was playing myself, it was my first time acting in that way as a voice actor, so I wasn’t sure how to approach it at first. But during recording, the kindness of everyone around me made it such an enjoyable experience.”

Chihaya Yoshitake expressed her joy as well:
“Being able to appear as myself in the anime is truly a dream come true. Even now, it still feels surreal—I don’t think it’ll sink in until I see the broadcast together with everyone.”

You and Idol Pretty Cure♪ follows Uta Sakura, a girl who loves to sing, as she meets the fairy Purirun, who is searching for the legendary saviors known as the Idol Pretty Cures. Together, they fight to restore the radiance stolen from people by the villainous group Chokkiri-dan and their boss, Darkine. The series carries the message, “Because you’re here, I can shine and be strong,” showcasing the Idol Cures as they sing, dance, and perform to connect with their fans.
