Episode 36 of You and Idol Pretty Cure (Kimi to Idol Prett Cure, キミとアイドルプリキュア♪), the 22nd installment in the Pretty Cure anime series, has released its story preview and early scene stills. This Episode will air on Sunday, October 12, at 8:30 AM on Japanese TV, followed by international streaming on various platforms.

Episode 36 will be uniquely tied to the upcoming live event “You and Idol Pretty Cure♪ LIVE2025 You&I = We're IDOL PRECURE,” taking place on October 18 at Pacifico Yokohama National Convention Hall.

This marks the first time in Pretty Cure history that an anime episode will directly connect with a real-world concert. Voice actresses Ami Ishii, Akane Kumada, and Chihaya Yoshitake, who perform the anime’s opening theme, will appear as themselves in the episode. The story will depict Cure Idol and her friends performing live at the actual concert venue, creating an unprecedented fusion between the anime and real-world performance — something only You and Idol Pretty Cure♪ could make possible.

Episode 36 Story

In the upcoming episode airing on October 12, Purirun (voiced by Yoshino Nanjo) overhears the Idol Pretty Cure Research Club members expressing their wish to “see a live concert in person.” After school, she gathers everyone at Café Glitter and suggests, “Let’s put on our own concert!” Uta Sakura (voiced by Misato Matsuoka) and the others eagerly agree. With Tanaka securing a venue right away, the group excitedly discusses what kind of live show to hold.

Although they struggle to decide on a concert title, they later meet at Tanaka’s house to organize the setlist based on ideas from the research club and immediately begin rehearsals. However, Cure Idol (Uta Sakura’s Pretty Cure form) finds it hard to picture a venue that can hold about 5,000 people. Then, Cure Zukyoon suggests, “In that case, let’s go see it!” and everyone visits the actual site together.

About You and Idol Pretty Cure

The theme of You and Idol Pretty Cure revolves around idols. With the belief that "Because you're here, I can shine and become stronger!", the Pretty Cure idols sing, dance, and engage with fans, using their performances to restore Kirakira to those who have lost it.

The story follows Uta Sakura, a second-year middle school student who loves to sing. One day, she meets Purirun, a fairy searching for the Idol Pretty Cure, the legendary savior of Kirakiland. Kirakiland has been plunged into darkness by Darkine, the leader of the Chokkiri Gang.

As the Chokkiri Gang begins stealing the Kirakira from townspeople, a desperate Uta declares, "I want to bring back the Kirakkiranran feeling! With my song!" Her determination resonates, and she transforms into the legendary Cure Idol.
