"Detective Conan" is based on the original detective manga about high school detective Shinichi Kudo, who is transformed into a child after being poisoned by men in black. Under the alias Conan Edogawa, he solves numerous difficult cases while pursuing the organization responsible for his transformation. The series began serialization in "Weekly Shonen Sunday" in 1994, followed by a TV anime in 1996 and a movie adaptation in 1997, becoming a beloved national series.

The latest movie, "Detective Conan: The Million Dollar Pentagram," drew 630,000 viewers and earned 960 million yen on its first day of release. Toho, the distributor, reported that the film achieved 112% of the revenue compared to the previous record-breaking movie, "Detective Conan: The Black Iron Submarine" (released April 14, 2023), and is on track to set a new all-time record.

The story of the current movie is set in Hakodate and features a confrontation between Heiji Hattori and Kaitou Kid. Heiji, who keeps missing the right time and place to confess his feelings to Kazuha, faces his nemesis Kid. In a past incident involving the Conch Pearl "Fairy's Lip," Heiji almost kissed Kazuha, who was disguised as Kid.

Will Heiji, who becomes a bumbling detective when Kazuha is involved, repay Kid and confess his feelings to Kazuha in the latest movie? The film also features Momiji Ooka, Iori Muga, and Soshi Okita, who watch over Heiji and Kazuha.
