The story and preview images for Episode 9 of From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman (JP: 片田舎のおっさん、剣聖になる, Katainaka no Ossan, Kensei ni Naru) have been released. This episode is scheduled to air in Japan on the TV Asahi network group starting May 31 at 11:30 PM (JST). Outside of Japan, the series will be available exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.

“The Old Man Heads Out on a Hunt for the First Time in a While”

With Mewi’s enrollment at the Magic Academy just around the corner, Beryl realizes she doesn’t have a school bag. He rushes to a bag shop, only to be faced with the harsh reality that any decent bag comes with a hefty price tag.

While hesitating over the purchase, Beryl hears from Surena about a temporary job opportunity that offers some quick income—an offer that seems too good to pass up. However, this job turns out to be something even high-ranking adventurers have yet to accomplish.
