The story and preview images for Episode 7 of From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman (JP: 片田舎のおっさん、剣聖になる, Katainaka no Ossan, Kensei ni Naru) have been released. This episode is scheduled to air in Japan on the TV Asahi network group starting May 17 at 11:30 PM (JST). Outside of Japan, the series will be available exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.

Beryl and Mewi begin living together in a house he received as a reward. Though uncertain at first, Beryl does his best to close the distance between them and step into a parental role. But just as their new life begins, they discover that the academy Mewi plans to attend also offers a well-equipped student dormitory…

Worried about what environment would truly be better for Mewi—living with him or staying at the dorm—Beryl finds himself torn as he contemplates her well-being.

The anime is based on the light novel written by Shigeru Sagazaki and illustrated by Tetsuhiro Nabeshima. Along with the manga adaptation by Kazuki Sato, the series has surpassed a total of 7 million copies in circulation.
