The story and preview images for Episode 5 of From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman (JP: 片田舎のおっさん、剣聖になる, Katainaka no Ossan, Kensei ni Naru) have been released. This episode is scheduled to air in Japan on the TV Asahi network group starting May 3 at 11:30 PM (JST). Outside of Japan, the series will be available exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.

Episode 5 Story

“The Old Country Bumpkin Is Outraged at Villains”

Beryl Gardinant unexpectedly reunites with a young pickpocket. Unable to turn his back on the girl, whose heart has hardened in a cruel environment, Beryl tries to reach out to her, but she is not easily persuaded. With the help of Allucia Citrus and Lucy Diamond, he discovers that villains are exploiting the girl. Determined to free her from their evil grasp, Beryl rises to action.
