"From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman" 3rd PV Released, OP by Takanori Nishikawa

The third promotional video (PV) for the TV anime From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman, set to air from April on TV Asahi's nationwide 24-station network “IMAnimation” slot, BS Asahi, and AT-X, has been released. It has been confirmed that the opening theme song will be "HEROES" by Takanori Nishikawa.

About the Series

The anime is based on the light novel written by Shigeru Sagazaki and illustrated by Tetsuhiro Nabeshima. Along with the manga adaptation by Kazuki Sato, the series has surpassed a total of 7 million copies in circulation.

Highlights of the 3rd PV

The third PV teases the intense battles and heroic feats of Beryl Gardinant, the "Master Swordsman of the Countryside." The newly revealed opening song "HEROES" by Takanori Nishikawa is a powerful track that pays tribute to Beryl’s long and arduous journey of honing his swordsmanship, earning him the title of "Master Swordsman of the Countryside."

Additionally, Nishikawa is set to appear at the anime’s Red Carpet Event on the 30th.



Special Stage at AnimeJapan 2025

A special stage for From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman will be held at the NBCUniversal Entertainment booth [J14] during AnimeJapan 2025 on March 23.

The event will feature voice actors:
Hiroaki Hirata (Beryl Gardinant)
Nao Toyama (Allucia Citrus)
Hitomi Ueda (Surena Lysandra)
Yuuki Hirose (Curuni Crueciel)

The booth will also showcase a life-sized longsword crafted by Xeno Greible, and visitors can take photos with cosplayers dressed as Allucia, Surena, Curuni, and Ficelle Harbeller.

Furthermore, on the same day, a stage event will be held at the BLUE STAGE within AnimeJapan 2025.
