The original TV anime Food for the Soul (日々は過ぎれど飯うまし), created by the staff behind Non Non Biyori, is set to premiere on April 12, 2025. Alongside the announcement, a new PV and key visual have been revealed.

Main Characters & Cast

🍽️ Mako Kawai (CV: Hana Shimano) – A shy but food-loving girl who excels at cooking. She joins the Food Culture Research Club, bringing change to her university life.

🍽️ Kurea Furutachi (CV: Ai Kakuma) – A strong-willed and reliable member who helps run her family's restaurant. Though tough on the outside, she has a softer side.

🍽️ Shinon Ogawa (CV: Yoshino Aoyama) – The club president and Mako’s childhood friend. Cheerful but impulsive, often causing chaos for the group.

🍽️ Tsutsuji Higa (CV: Natsun Inui) – A cool-headed observer with a unique perspective. Though usually composed, she panics in unexpected situations.

🍽️ Nana Hoshi (CV: Saya Aizawa) – A former puzzle club member who later joins the Food Culture Research Club. Initially extremely shy, but her true, cheerful personality emerges over time.

🍽️ Mokotarou (CV: Moeno Azuki) – A popular food content creator, known for traveling nationwide in search of delicious meals.

Manga Adaptation Starts April 15

A manga adaptation will begin serialization on April 15 via Kadokawa’s free manga site Alive+ (Kadocomi), illustrated by Quro (Asteroid in Love).
