The upcoming TV anime ‘Rock Is a Lady's Modesty’ is set to premiere on April 3 at 11:56 PM JST across 28 TBS-affiliated networks in Japan. Along with the announcement, the main visual and first PV have been unveiled, along with additional cast members.

A Youthful Rock Story About Passion & Identity

Based on the manga by Hiroshi Fukuda (‘5 Minutes to the Future’, ‘Mushibugyo’), serialized in Young Animal (Hakusensha), the story follows Ririsa Suzunomiya, a former commoner and former rock girl, who has left her past behind to attend an elite all-girls school.

However, after meeting the extraordinary drummer Otowa Kurogane, she reignites her passion for rock music and dives into band life once again. Through music, she expresses her true emotions and deepens her bonds with her fellow bandmates in this intense and heartfelt rock drama.

The main visual features Ririsa and her bandmates rocking out in the grand stairway of Sakuragokoro Girls’ Academy, showcasing the intensity and elegance of their performance.

New character introductions and cast members have also been revealed:

A one-year senior at Sakuragokoro Girls’ Academy, known as the "Prince of Sakuragokoro", yet struggles with self-confidence and seeks change.

🎸 Tamaki Shiraya – Natsumi Fujiwara

Otowa’s childhood friend, attending the sister school Kuroyuri Girls’ Academy. A guitar prodigy with exceptional skills.

The first PV features character voices from Ayaka Fukuhara and Natsumi Fujiwara, along with the opening & ending themes:
