The new anime adaptation of "Black Butler," titled "Black Butler: Emerald Witch Arc," is set to premiere on April 5 on TOKYO MX and other networks. Along with the announcement, the key visual and teaser PV have been unveiled.

A Dark Mystery Awaits in Germany

Based on the ongoing manga since 2006, Black Butler follows the 12-year-old noble Ciel Phantomhive and his flawless "super butler" Sebastian, who serve as the Queen’s watchdogs, handling various covert missions in Britain’s underworld.

In this new arc, Ciel and Sebastian are sent on a royal mission to Germany to investigate a series of mysterious deaths. They uncover the "Werewolf's Forest" (Werwolf no Mori), a place said to curse and kill anyone who enters. As they dig deeper into the dark legend, a terrifying curse befalls them…

With over 35 million copies in circulation worldwide, Black Butler has been adapted into multiple TV anime seasons, movies, and stage plays. In 2014, it was also made into a live-action film starring Hiro Mizushima and Ayame Goriki. The anime’s sixth installment, "Black Butler: Public School Arc," aired from April to June 2024.
