The story and preview images for Episode 8 of From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman (JP: 片田舎のおっさん、剣聖になる, Katainaka no Ossan, Kensei ni Naru) have been released. With a diplomatic delegation arriving from a neighboring country, Allucia Citrus requests Beryl Gardinant’s help with VIP security.
Although reluctant, Beryl finds it hard to refuse due to the circumstances. Allucia, emphasizing the importance of attire suitable for the mission, takes Beryl shopping for clothes.

The outing ends up feeling more like a date than a duty.

The next day, Allucia makes a surprising proposal to Beryl.
