"YAIBA" is an action-packed saga about Kurogane Yaiba, a wild child samurai who has been training in the jungle and unexpectedly returns to Japan to seek further training and greater strength, relentlessly pursuing the samurai spirit. The story embarks on a spectacular journey after he meets his rival, Takeshi Onimaru, who acquires the "legendary demonic sword." Serialized in "Weekly Shonen Sunday" (Shogakukan) from 1988 to 1993, the series has become a popular work with a total of 24 volumes selling over 17 million copies, and was televised as an anime from 1993 to 1994. It is one of Gosho Aoyama's representative works, serialized up to about a month before the start of "Detective Conan" in 1994. The latest issue of "Weekly Shonen Sunday" released today, issue no. 24, features a visual poster drawn by Mr. Aoyama. The poster centers on the protagonist, Kurogane Yaiba, holding the Thunder God Sword, with various key swords from the story depicted around him. Moreover, the teaser video has been crafted to heighten anticipation.
