A Media Mix Celebration of Oshi no Ko

Following the anime’s second season, the live-action drama and film, the stage play, and the manga’s conclusion, 2024 marked a monumental year for Oshi no Ko. This special media mix project celebrates Aqua's multifaceted journey as played by these talented actors, crossing the boundaries of animation, live-action, and theater.

Insights from the Aqua Roundtable

Titled the "Oshi no Ko Aqua Roundtable", the video highlights:

The actors' first encounters with the manga and their impressions of Aqua’s character.
Behind-the-scenes anecdotes, including Ōtsuka’s “voice creation secrets,” Sakurai’s “most challenging scene,” and Komiya’s “unique struggles of stage acting.”
Personal reflections on embodying Aqua and mutual Q&A sessions.

Ōtsuka commented:
"At first, I wasn’t sure how this would go, but I rarely get the chance to have such deep conversations about Oshi no Ko and Aqua with others who’ve played the same role. It was a wonderful experience, and I hope we can do it again!"

Sakurai shared:
"I thought this was such a bold idea! Each of us brought something unique to Aqua, and hearing Ōtsuka-san’s perspective on the anime was eye-opening. Chatting with Komiya, someone from my generation, made me feel like, ‘Aqua wasn’t alone!’ It was heartwarming."

Komiya added:
"I was both excited and nervous to see what would happen when three people who’ve fought to portray Aqua in different formats came together. Learning how the others approached Aqua gave me new inspiration for my own acting. It was an unforgettable experience."
