New Anime “Zenshu”: Kaname Jun's Appearance Sparks Buzz – Heroine’s Last Words “Jun...Kaname... ” Inspire Laughter
The original isekai anime Zenshu, produced by MAPPA, premiered its first episode on January 5 on TV Tokyo. A particular scene where the protagonist, Natsuko Hirose, utters “Jun Kaname” as her final words in her current life before dying has sparked discussion online.
The anime follows Natsuko Hirose, a genius director who rose to fame after discovering her talent as an animator post-high school. She finds herself reincarnated into A Tale of Perishing, an anime movie she was captivated by as a child. The title “Zenshu” is derived from a term in the animation industry meaning “complete revision” or “all retakes.”
In the first episode, Natsuko, overwhelmed by her work as an animator, dies from food poisoning after eating a bento during a break. Her last thought, before collapsing, was pondering which actors would best fit a live-action adaptation of A Tale of Perishing. As she falls, she utters “Jun...Kaname...” and passes away, only to be reincarnated in a fantasy world.
The unexpected reference to the real-life actor Kaname Jun caught viewers’ attention online, with comments like:
“Kaname Jun as her last words, LOL.”
“Her dying words were Kaname Jun!?”
“Is there a funnier Kaname Jun caption than this?”
“Could the final episode feature news of the live-action adaptation starring Kaname Jun himself?”
“Did they even get Kaname Jun’s permission for this?”
