The situation escalated when Elon Musk reposted the misinterpreted content. On September 30, J-WAVE TOKYO M.A.A.D SPIN posted on X, acknowledging Musk’s involvement: "In the afternoon of September 30 (Japan time), Elon Musk reposted a video with English subtitles (containing the mistranslation) on an overseas news site from a livestream featuring some of the program’s members. We would like to report this to everyone and ask for caution."

On October 4, the KosoKoso Broadcasting Station further clarified on X that, "The issue of the mistranslated, edited video, which was spread through Musk's repost, did not happen during the radio program.
