To commemorate the 2nd anniversary of the TV anime Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury, a new illustration was unveiled on the official X account.

The post read, "October 2 marks the 2nd anniversary of The Witch from Mercury! Thank you for all your support! As part of the Gundam series’ 45th-anniversary illustration project, we’ve released a newly drawn version of Aerial from episode 9!" The illustration depicts a severely battle-damaged Aerial.

The anime Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury began airing in October 2022, set in an era where numerous corporations have expanded into space, creating a vast economic sphere.

The story follows Suletta Mercury, a young girl who transfers from the remote region of Mercury to the Asticassia School of Technology, which is operated by the leading mobile suit industry group, the Benerit Group. With a crimson light burning in her innocent heart, she takes her first steps into a new world. The series concluded in July 2023.
