[Gundam] "New Novel and Drama CD 'Neumann's Navigation Log' Announced for 'Gundam SEED Freedom' Movie"
The anime film "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM" will release on Blu-ray & 4K UHD-BD & DVD on December 25. This time, the newly drawn illustrations for the storage box and four-panel digipak for the "Mighty Edition" and "Special Limited Edition" Blu-rays have been unveiled.
The storage box features luxurious new illustrations by character designer Hisashi Hirai and mechanical animation director Satoshi Shigeta. The box depicts Kira and Lacus gazing at each other, along with Mighty Strike Freedom Gundam, Destiny Gundam SpecII, and Infinite Justice Gundam Type-II. The four-panel digipak includes new illustrations by Hirai of Kira & Lacus, Athrun & Cagalli, Shinn & Lunamaria, and Yzak & Dearka. These special features are included in both the Blu-ray Mighty Edition and the Blu-ray Special Limited Edition.
Additionally, the titles of the [newly written novel] and [drama CD] included in the Blu-ray Mighty Edition and Blu-ray Special Limited Edition have been revealed as "Neumann's Navigation Log."
This story, written by scriptwriter Riu Goto, unfolds from the perspective of Arnold Neumann, the master helmsman of the Archangel. It will be included as a novel and drama CD. In addition to "Neumann's Navigation Log," the novels "Two's Escape" and "Valkyrie of the Moonlight," previously distributed as weekly attendance bonuses at screening theaters, will be newly recorded as voice dramas.
Furthermore, as additional bonuses, the "Gundam Channel" on the official Gundam YouTube channel will feature the special program "Terminal Communication SPECIAL-PHASE ~ Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Series Grand Prix 2024 Final Results Announcement Special ~" along with a "Special Four-Fold Leaflet." The visual extras include two bonus discs with a total runtime of approximately 318 minutes, promising even more content. The "Special Four-Fold Leaflet" will feature all the interim and final results of the "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Series Grand Prix 2024."
