Capcom's 'Monster Hunter' to Appear at Expo: Unveiling the Immersive Experience 'MONSTER HUNTER BRIDGE'
On the 29th, game company Capcom held a press conference in Osaka City, announcing that they will showcase an interactive experience based on the 'Monster Hunter' series at the Osaka-Kansai Expo's 'Osaka Healthcare Pavilion'. The title of the exhibit is 'MONSTER HUNTER BRIDGE'.
The 'Osaka Healthcare Pavilion' is a collaborative exhibit between Osaka Prefecture, Osaka City, universities, and companies under the theme 'REBORN'. The pavilion aims to provide a display experience that allows people of all ages, from children to adults, to enjoy and feel the potential of future Osaka from the perspective of 'life' and 'health'.
Capcom, headquartered in Osaka, had previously kept its exhibit content under wraps, but now the globally popular 'Monster Hunter' franchise has been revealed. The exhibit will be an interactive experience, bridging the gap between dreams (the world of monsters) and reality (Yumeshima Island).
The experience will take place in the 'HD HALL' of the Osaka Healthcare Pavilion. The hall features technologies such as 'Theater LED', 'Immersive Sound', and 'Floor Vibration', promising an overwhelming immersive experience. AR devices will also be utilized, allowing visitors to interact with monsters.
On this day, Osaka Governor Hirofumi Yoshimura, Osaka Mayor Hideyuki Yokoyama, and actress Haru were also present. After experiencing the simulation, Mayor Yokoyama admitted, "I thought I was going to lose my balance," to which Governor Yoshimura responded, "You might think he's exaggerating, but it's true. It's not this world (reality); it's 'that' world," as he pointed to the images in the simulation.
