The manga "My Home Hero" (original story by Naoki Yamakawa, art by Masashi Asaki) has reached its final chapter in the 35th issue of "Weekly Young Magazine," released today, the 29th. This brings to a close the series' seven-year history since its serialization began in 2017.
The concluding color illustration features the phrases, "A story of crime and punishment, love and battle, proudly concludes" and "But still, Dad is just for you."
Serialized in "Weekly Young Magazine" since 2017, the story follows the protagonist, Tetsuo Tosu, an ordinary office worker who loves his only daughter, Reika. One day, he notices a bruise on Reika's face. When he questions her about who did it, she evades his questions. On his way home, Tetsuo spots a man who seems to be the culprit and decides to follow him, setting off a chain of events that will change the family's destiny. The father steps into a life of crime and suspense for the sake of his daughter and family. The series has surpassed 4.3 million copies in circulation and was adapted into a live-action drama in 2023 and a live-action film in 2024.
