This series is the latest work by Hiromu Arakawa, known worldwide for the masterpiece Fullmetal Alchemist, which continues to enjoy strong popularity both in Japan and overseas. The original manga, currently serialized in Monthly Shonen Gangan, has surpassed 6 million copies in circulation. The anime is produced by the same powerful collaboration of Square Enix, Aniplex, and Bones that worked on the Fullmetal Alchemist anime series from 2003 to 2011.

Cast Shares Impressions of the Original and Anime
During the event, the cast discussed their impressions of the original manga and the completed anime. Ono, who felt the unique balance of seriousness and comedy characteristic of Arakawa’s works when reading the original, shared his thoughts after watching the finished anime.
He said that it was simply amazing and that the addition of voices, color, and music expanded and clarified his image of the story. He added that he felt constant excitement and hinted at intense developments, noting that for Yuru, the first and second episodes unfold like a state of panic.

Kuno expressed that both the visuals and music were outstanding and that she was deeply moved. She also revealed that her role as Gabby was a major challenge, as it involved actions far beyond anything she had previously portrayed.
Nakamura casually revealed that Murase appears in the anime in multiple roles including Gabriel and other Tsugai characters, encouraging viewers to pay close attention. He also mentioned witnessing Murase’s struggles during recording sessions, which gave him insight into the performance.
Ono joked that Murase might be the one most eager to attend the fastest screening event.

“Tsugai Pose” Steals the Spotlight
At the final photo session, Ono introduced what he called the “Tsugai Pose,” which he came up with in 30 seconds while in Okinawa. The pose involves making peace signs with both hands, and all cast members smiled as they posed for the cameras.
Suwabe humorously commented that the pose might be a bit embarrassing for someone in their 50s, but encouraged fans to give it a try if they like it, drawing laughter from the audience.
