A Story Set in Motion by Twins Born to Divide Night and Day
The story begins to move dramatically around Yuru and Asa, twins born to separate night and day. The main PV showcases a succession of intense, high speed battle scenes featuring the Tsugai, with characters fighting by fully utilizing their unique abilities. As the emotions of those struggling against fate collide, a new style of Tsugai battles finally begins. Portions of both the opening and ending themes are also featured, making the PV a condensed expression of the series’ world and rising excitement.
The key visual depicts Yuru and Asa surrounded by writhing Tsugai and other supernatural beings. Despite being at the mercy of fate, the image conveys the twins’ determination to move forward while holding their own convictions close. It powerfully foreshadows the impending battles and the beginning of the story.

Cast Comments

Rikiya Koyama as Right (C)Hiromu Arakawa/SQUARE ENIX, Project TSUGAI
■Rikiya Koyama as Right
“When you call for me, I burst onto the scene with a big ta da. Gahaha. Leave it to me.
Look up and take it all in. The Daemons of the Shadow Realm. I will even pray for your small moments of happiness.
Hop on and come along. Come on. Hah hah. Let us give thanks that this work has been made into an anime.
In the name of the moon, punishment is delivered. Gahaha. That is exactly why you should leave it to me.
This is no child’s play. Now that I have awakened from my long slumber, I will protect everything with all my strength, baby.
Celebrate the beginning of this anime. I am the master of time who transcends space and time itself. Leave everything to me.”
Translator’s Note:
The original Japanese comment is a playful word construction in which each sentence begins with the syllables Yo Mi No Tsu Ga I, forming the title of the series. We apologize that this nuance cannot be fully conveyed in English.

Takako Honda as Left (C)Hiromu Arakawa/SQUARE ENIX, Project TSUGAI
■Takako Honda as Left
“My name is Takako Honda, and I will be playing Left. Being given this role has made my face feel like it is shining and smooth, with stars glittering brightly in my eyes. It is difficult to imagine a life stretching back to ancient times, but I hope to express well the feelings that Left and Right, released after hundreds of years, hold toward Yuru and Asa, the children of destiny who have watched over them all along. Please look forward to the anime Daemons of the Shadow Realm.”

Miyuri Shimabukuro as Hana (C)Hiromu Arakawa/SQUARE ENIX, Project TSUGAI
■Miyuri Shimabukuro as Hana
“My name is Miyuri Shimabukuro, and I will be voicing Hana. Just typing these words makes me tremble with nervousness, while also tightening my resolve. That alone shows how incredible the people creating this work truly are. I want to cherish the connection I have been given with Hana, as well as the joy of being involved in this series, and do my best to bring powerful energy to the microphone. The broadcast is just around the corner. I would be happy if we can all enjoy the animated Daemons of the Shadow Realm together.”

Junichi Suwabe as Jin (C)Hiromu Arakawa/SQUARE ENIX, Project TSUGAI
■Junichi Suwabe as Jin
“I will be playing Jin, the so called ‘glasses character’ of Daemons of the Shadow Realm. He is always neatly dressed and speaks politely. He appears gentlemanly, though his gaze is sharp. What kind of role does he play within the Kagemori family. I hope to carefully convey Jin’s appeal through the anime. This work has many charms, but above all, it cannot be discussed without mentioning the Tsugai, each with their own forms and abilities. Jin’s partners are Ai chan and Makoto kun, who resemble anglerfish. I wish they would contract with me as well. In any case, I hope you enjoy watching.”
Artist Comments

Vaundy
■Vaundy
“For this series, I wrote two brand new songs that form a pair. The opening theme Tobu Toki and the ending theme Tobou yo, sung by yama. Both songs were created around the major theme of departure, portraying the emotions of the two protagonists. Since the songs are more conceptual than my usual work, I hope listeners enjoy them freely through their own interpretations. I cannot wait to watch the anime.”

yama
■yama
“I may have always been searching for reasons not to take flight. Thinking of someone precious, like someone who shares your blood, and calling out to each other to ‘let’s fly’ moved me deeply. It is a feeling that combines innocence with a dignified strength. Once you spread your wings, it does not matter if ominous realities or the danger of falling await. Just aim for the wide open sky. As this song runs forward with full force, I sang it with gentleness in my heart. This is the second time Vaundy has written a song for me, and once again he has given me new realizations. I hope people enjoy it together with the series.”
