Based on Hiromu Arakawa’s latest manga—her first major work since the internationally acclaimed Fullmetal Alchemist—the series has surpassed 4 million copies in circulation and is serialized in Monthly Shonen Gangan (Square Enix). The anime will be produced by the powerhouse trio of Square Enix, Aniplex, and Bones—the same team behind the Fullmetal Alchemist anime series that aired and released between 2003 and 2011.

The teaser PV depicts Yuru, a boy born as one of twin siblings who separate night and day in a secluded mountain village. His peaceful life is suddenly shattered when he is drawn into a mysterious conflict that shakes the very core of his destiny. Blending striking action with rich character expression, the footage conveys the story’s vast scale and tension in full cinematic detail.
