The TV anime Wistoria: Wand and Sword will return with its highly anticipated Season 2 in April 2026. Along with the announcement, a teaser visual and a special promotional video were released. The video features highlights of the action scenes from Season 1.

Tatsuya Yoshihara, who directed Season 1 and also drew attention for Chainsaw Man: The Reze Arc has been chosen for the role of Chief Director. Hideaki Nakano, who worked as Assistant Director on Classroom for Heroes, will become the new Director. Animation will be produced again under the joint framework of BN Pictures and Actas. Some of the staff who are returning include Sayaka Ono, who designed the characters (Cross Ange: Rondo of Angel and Dragon), and Yuki Hayashi, who composed the music (My Hero Academia).

The new promotional video shows more of the exciting action from Season 1 and gets us ready for the next part of the story.

The anime is based on a series of light novels by Fujino Omori (Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?) with illustrations by manga artist Toshi Aoi. It vividly depicts a grand world of swords and sorcery within an academy setting.
